The institution dedicated to enlightening young minds enjoys a long, rich and illustrious past. Situated in the holy land at the confluence of rivers Bhagirathi, Tamsa and Saryu, a place graced by pioneers and stalwarts like Nripendra Bali, Maharishi Bhragumuni, the institution is located at the eastern end of Ballia city, at the apex of Bhragu Ashram on National Highway No. 19. It was instituted by the Late Satish Chandra Giri in 1947. Affiliated firstly to the Agra University followed by Gorakhpur University and currently to the Vir Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, the institution provides both undergraduate and post graduate courses across a variety of disciplines striving ceaselessly to provide quality education to put students on the path to success.
The institution with extensive infrastructure in place including a spacious campus, learned professors and a fully equipped library and labs does invaluable service to the country in the field of higher education. There are ample opportunities as well as infrastructural and logistical facilities for undertaking research in the areas of arts and sciences. The college is also host to a centre of the Indira Gandhi National Open University where apart from the undergraduate courses computer and B.Ed courses are also conducted. Plans are also underway to introduce new courses catering to new areas of knowledge. To ensure holistic development of the students the institution has a large playground, units of NCC, NSS, Rovers/Rangers as well as regular co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
Bringing together the diverse disciplines of higher education, imbued with the spirit of character building and nation building the institution aims to create disciplined, motivated and creative citizens of tomorrow. At the end I invite all the new entrants to the college and wish them all the luck for their future.
