The MEA Engineering College, the second self-financing Engineering College in Malappuram district, is located in Nellikkunnu, near Perinthalmanna, a city on the Perinthalmanna- Melattur Road. It is a venture of Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama; a Muslim educational organisation. This is its first venture in a technological area. The College is governed by the “Muslim Educational Association ” headed by Janab Panakkad Sayed Hyder Ali Shihab Thangal, and is affiliated to the University of Calicut.
