KIST established in the year 2001 under Bidyasagar Charitable Trust .It is few kms away from temple city & Capital city Bhubaneswar .It is affiliated to Biju Patnaik  University of Technology(BPUT), and approved by A.I.C.T.E., New Delhi and Govt. of Orissa. With a concrete plan to offer excellence in techno education and to meet the present status of industrial growth academicians and integellicia of Vidya Sagar Charitable Trust formed KIST in the year 2001.It has got AICTE and Govt. of Orissa approval and is affiliated to Biju Pattnaik University of Technology(BPUT)

Placement

Apart from other tools of learning, one way of learning technology is by action and participation in research. Each student is required to undergo a four-week summer training at leading corporations by undertaking a project of direct relevance to the concerned organization. Subsequently, a presentation on the project and a viva-voce before a panel of experts is held. In the months of May and June, students go through a Summer Training Programme with an organization to get hands-on experience of current market scenario. Leading corporate like NALCO, Prasar Bharati, IMFA, SAIL, NTPCL, BHEL, OPTCL, AIRPORT AUTHORITY, RELIANCE etc are our major visitors. In the fourth semester, students get a chance to put their learning into practice.
