The Karnataka State Law University (KSLU) is a State university situated at Navanagar, Hubli, Karnataka, India. It was set up in January, 2009 by the government of Karnataka with a campus spread over 55 acres of land. The university offers various graduate and post graduate law courses which include 5 years B.A., LL.B., B.B.A., LL.B. and B.B.A., LL.B., (Hon’s) Double Degree integrated courses and LL.M. in Constitutional Law, Intellectual Property Rights, Business and Trade Law Criminal Law and International Law. Nearly 87 law colleges of Karnataka are affiliated to it. It's motto is "Indian Roots and Global Heights".

The first vice chancellor of the university is J S Patil.KSLU is plausibly the first institution, imparting higher education, to have an Assembly every morning, led by the Hon’ble Vice- Chancellor on the main campus and by the respective Principals in the affiliated colleges; Assembly begins with the National Anthem and is followed by a “Thought- for- the day” and a question signifying National and International matters, which is answered in the Assembly the following day.
