The Central University of Karnataka was established in 2009 by the Act of Parliament by the government of Kolkata during the UGC XI plan period to address to the higher quality education by people. It was established with the motto of imparting quality education to their students. It's objective is to provide instructional and research facilities in such branches of learning ot to educate and train manpower for the development of the country. It conducts various extra-curricular activities or events for the students. It has highly qualified and experienced faculty to the students. It has well established infrastructure including all the fcilities which are necessary for the students for their comfort.

Central University of Karnataka has good placement record as most of the students of this college got placed in good or reputated organizations according to their skills or eligibility. It provides various opportunities to students so that they can grab what they want by conducting various interviews for them through the major companies. It has it's placement cell which helps students in their placement related activities by all possible way. The faculty assigned for the students to help in their placement activities are highly qualified and experienced. They conducts various pre-placement activities to train students for their better future placement or to get them aware about the placement process.
