The Central Electrochemical Research Institute (CECRI), headquartered at Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, has been playing a leading role in the electrochemical and related industries, apart from carrying out research in both the frontier areas of electrochemistry and problems of current relevance to Indian Industry. CECRI, the largest research establishment for electrochemistry in South Asia, was founded in 1948 and it has extension centres in Chennai, Mandapam and Tuticorin (Tamil Nadu)
Courses Offered
CECRI offers 4 year B.Tech in Chemical and Electrochemical Engineering Programme (it is the World’s first unique technology programme in Chemical and Electrochemical engineering). The course is conducted in a research atmosphere with scientists and specialised engineers as faculty members.
This premier Institute offers a variety of courses to scientific and technical personnel employed in industries, Government and academic institutions. These courses are designed to impart the necessary knowledge and skills. The participants will be given ample opportunities to have hands-on-experience. CECRI also runs several projects in collaboration with laboratories from within and outside India.
