Nursery Admission Process 2007-2008
Instructions and Procedure for filling the Registration Form:-

General Instructions:-
1. Applicants should be Three Years as on 01/04/2007 (Further to our advertisement dated
3rd Dec. 2006 placed in Hindustan Times and our website, this is informed to all concerned in the light of
order dated 08/12/2006 passed by Hon’ble High Court of Delhi at New Delhi in CWP No. 12490/2006
filed by Social Jurists Vs Union of India and others that the aforesaid change in age criteria has been
made).
2. The total number of seats available for admission to class Nursery 2007-2008 in the school is 175. Out of
these 157 are general seats while 18 seats are reserved for the management.
3. Registration forms may be taken and deposited from December 4, 2006 to December 28, 2006.
Registration Fees is Rs. 25/-(i.e. Twenty Five) which is non-refundable.
4. You may download the form from the website and dispatch the duly filled form by registered post only,
at the school address. Please enclose a draft of Rs.25/- in favour of Delhi Public School Vasant Kunj, along with the
downloaded form,towards the registration fees.
5. The admission process has been designed as per the directions of Honourable High Court, to provide
equal opportunity to all and to maintain transparency in the admission process. As per the recommendations
of the Ganguly Committee, the following criteria has been kept in mind for the allocation of points that
will be added to form the final score of your application.
6. The Registration Form should be duly completed before dispatch. Incomplete form shall be rejected.
You are advised to keep a photocopy of the completed form.
7. Duly completed forms should reach the school by December 28, 2006.
8. A Registration Number will be allocated to your application by the school.
9. The entire list of registered candidates with the cut-off points as well as the list of candidates short-listed
for admission and candidates in the waiting list will be displayed on the school notice board as well
school web site on January 31, 2007.
10. Final admission is subject to the verification of the following documents (in original) :-
i) Birth Certificate issued by Municipal Corporation.
ii) Proof of residential address (Election Card / Passport / Electricity Bill / lease deed made six
months prior to the submission of the application form,along with an affidavit on stamp paper
should be submitted in case of rental accommodation along with driving license / PAN card).
iii) In case of sibling applicants: the identity card / admission order / latest fee bill of the sibling.
iv) In case of alumni of Delhi Public School Vasant Kunj : School Leaving Certificate / Sr. Secondary
/ Secondary Board Certificate.
v) In case of applicants with special needs : Certificate of special need by competent authority .
vi) For proof of Parents Qualification : Degrees supporting the Highest Educational level achieved.
vii) For proof of Govt. Service / Teaching Community : Proof of employment from the concerned
department.
viii) Single parent to provide proof of their single status.
ix) If the information provided is found to be incorrect or false the applicant shall be automatically
debarred from selection process without any correspondence in this regard.

Display of the entire list of registered candidates
with the cut-off points as well as the list of

Payment of fee and completing admission
formalities February 01, 2007 to February 20,2007
Second List (if any) February 26, 2007
Withdrawal of admission, refund of fee and
operating waiting list wherever all the seats have
not been filled up to February 28 / 29th 2007 (this date can
remain flexible and can be extend up to March
15th 2007)
Beginning of new session for class Nursery April 9, 2007
Note:-
A) The list of all applicants with their total scores will be displayed in the descending order on
January 31, 2007.
B) In the event of many applicants getting identical final scores in the lowest eligible score, a limited use of
the lottery system would be adopted within these applicants to select children for admission. This
eventuality will arise only in case of availability of seats for admission.
