The school, the of its kind in the Koraput District of Orissa, was started here in 1965. It provides the opportunity for young children to obtain good education in all encompassing sense, by the adaption of the English Public School system.
The institution is governed and managed by the "Korpaut District Public Schools Education Society", as a minority institution.
The School prepares pupils for the Indian School Certificate Examinations namely the ISC ( Indian School Certificate Examination in Class XII) and the ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education in Class X ) .These are recognized "All - India" systems of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with English as the medium of instruction.
Under the pattern of 10+2+3 (Hons.) adopted by this country, the 10+2 is completed in the School and the ISC Examination is recognized by the Inter Universities Board for entry into a three-year college system leading to a Bachelors Degree.

Admission Norms
•Pre- KG ( Only Day Scholars)
Age 3 years Requirement : Birth Certificate
•LKG & UKG
Age 4 years + for LKG and 5 years + for UKG
Requirements : Birth Certificate for LKG and a Transfer Certificate for UKG should the child have studied in another school . Direct admission to UKG may be given if the child fulfills the academic standard expected of the LKG class.
•Class I to IX
Requirements :
(1) Countersigned Transfer Certificate of the previous school.
(2) Progress Report of the previous school.
(3) The student may have to appear a written test, if required.
•Class X
Admission to Class X are not given. However students on transfer cases, coming from other ICSE schools may be considered only after permission is granted by the Council for the ISC Examinations, New Delhi.
•Class XI
Admissions to Class XI ( Science & Commerce Streams ) are open immediately after the declaration of the ICSE ( Class X) results. Students should have passed in all subjects at the Class X level, in the main examinations. Students passing the supplementary examinations are not eligible. Admission is given strictly on merit basis and as per the cut-off percentage decided by the school - management for the year.
