Modern School, commonly known as Modern, is a co-educational private school in New Delhi, India. It was founded in 1920 by Lala Raghubir Singh and Sir Sobha Singh. Considered to be one of the elite schools, Modern is also referred to as the Eton of India. It is the first private school established in Delhi under the British Raj. It has a 27 acre campus on Barakhamba Road, near Connaught Place. The school is affialiated to the CBSE and carried out the curriculum for class 6-12 including two national level exams for Class 10 and Class 12. There are around 2500 students in the campus with teacher and student ratio of 1:35.
