The School is located about one and a half hours distance from Mumbai and is easily accessible by road from Navi Mumbai, Panvel and Belapur and by sea by launch from Ferry Wharf, Mumbai. It is also connected to Pune by the Mumbai - Panvel Express Highway.

The medium of instruction is English. The School is coeducational and affiliated to the All India Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and NCERT Text Books are used. Besides the usual subjects, Navigation, Seamanship, Survival Training, Sailing, Knots and Splices, Elementary First Aid and Catering are also taught for which ex Indian Navy, Merchant Navy and other professionally qualified faculty is available. Students are encouraged to participate in cultural events, Quiz and Drawing Competitions, debates, General Knowledge and Elocution contests which are regulary conducted.

Admissions will be based on availability of seats for each class for the academic year. Boarders will be admitted for the class IV to VIII depending on the number of seats available. Presently the School admits children up to Class X, however, the School will be opening Class XI and Class XII by June 2004. Students of the School are given preference for admissions for Pre Sea Courses conducted by Training Ship "Rahaman". They will also be free to pursue careers in other disciplines for which professional counselling would be available.
