The Vidyalaya aims at fulfilling the following educational objectives:
1. To meet the educational needs of the children of Defence Personnel including transferable Central Government employees by providing a Common Programme of Education,
2. To develop the Vidyalaya as a model school in the context of national goals of Indian education,
3. To promote experimentation in education in collaboration with bodies like the NCERT and the CBSE, and to promote national Integration.

The Vidyalaya is affiliated to CBSE and follows the 10+2 pattern of education. Apart from the teaching learning process, the students are provided ample opportunities to take part in Co-curricular Activities, Sports & Games, Club Activities, Work Experience, Scouts & Guides, Computer Education, Vocational Training and Value Education aiming at the all-round development of the students.

Salient Features

1. Kendriya Vidyalaya, No.1(Army), Jodhpur, Rajasthan was started in the year 1977. The Vidyalaya has Classes from I to XII with an enrolment of 1990 students (approx) with Science, Arts and Commerce Streams at the Plus-Two level.

2 . The Vidyalaya provides opportunities to its students to participate in a variety of activities. The Vidyalaya participates in Games, Sports and other activities organized locally and also at Inter Kendriya Vidyalaya level by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan.

3. The Vidyalaya has a well-stocked library to inculcate regular reading habits. We subscribe various magazines and periodicals of educational and literary nature.

4. Computer Education is provided by well-qualified specialists from Class III to Class XII. The Vidyalaya has two well-equipped Computer laboratories with a total of 50 computers.

5. Broadband Internet access is available to the students in the Library and the Computer Laboratories.

6. The Vidyalaya provides modern education using the latest Educational Technology with OHP, Computers, Internet and LCD projectors to prepare students for life in the 21st century.

7. The Vidyalaya provides special coaching in Basketball, Football, Kabaddi, Kho-kho and Volleyball.  

8. The Vidyalaya uses Thinkquest.org  for integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) with the teaching-learning in the classes.

Registration forms for admission may be obtained from Vidyalaya office free of cost, between 10.00 am to 12.00 noon on all working days. Brochure (Optional) will also be made available on payment of Rs. 100/-.

  There will be no distinct dates for issue of forms and registration of children. Both these activities shall proceed together. The admission schedule for the year 2012-13 will be as under:-
