HEBRON SCHOOL

Established in 1899, Hebron is an independently managed International co-educational Christian Residential School. It is recognised by the Government of India with permission to follow the English National Curriculum which culminates in the International General Certificate of Secondary Education examinations (year 11), and the General Certificate of Education Advanced Level - A S examinations (year 12) and A 2 (year 13). Hebron is independent of any Church, Mission or Christian organization. It is registered as a Society in India and the State of Tamil Nadu (No. 1/1919/1920 dated 26/07/1919). Hebron School offers the English National Curriculum, culminating in the GCSE, IGCSE and GCE AS/A2 examinations. Recognising the value of each individual in the community and believing that the best foundation for life is a personal relationship with Christ, our aims are:

  1. To provide excellent educational opportunities through a strong academic curriculum and a wide range of extra-curricular activities
  2. To provide a personalized, caring, family-based environment
  3. To encourage students tostrive for excellence and to develop to their full potential in all areas of their lives
  4. To challenge students to work out the focus and direction of their lives in preparation for life after school
  5. To foster a genuine respect for others and to inspire the school community to live in the service of God and others
  6. To serve the neighbourhood and wider community

In pursuing its aims, the school is committed to its motto, ‘Deo Supremo’ (God First).

We are determined to continue emphasising the foundational values on which the school was built: to provide a Christian, family, atmosphere and open to children from all backgrounds and a broad ability range. Our main focus is the care and education of children of Christian Workers in Asia and Africa, and we welcome other families, too, and treat their children equally, fairly and sensitively. Hebron aims to be a wholistic school where we aim to train the whole person – physically, mentally, socially and spiritually.
