The Vidyalaya is situated at 40km from the district headquater.The vidyalaya has been alloted 30 acres of land and is functioning in its own building constructrd by the samiti at permanent site. It is affliated to Central Board Of Secondary Education New Delhi having CBSE affliation no: 1740009.The Vidyalaya Code is:03574 Vidyalaya is having the total strength of 530 in the current accademic session 2008-2009 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Mandaphia a co-educational residential Vidyalaya, in district Chittorgarh{Raj}. It is one among the chain of 544 Vidyalaya having Spreaded over different district of 34 union states and territories functioning under Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. The present status of the Vidyalaya proudly speaks of the sanctity laid in its objectivies and the dedicated sincere efforts at each levels without which it could not have been possible to get such an wide applaud in the form of its development from the primitive stage of only two Vidyalayas, one is Amarawati (Maharashtra) and the other in Jajhhar (Haryana), opened on an experimental basis. The Vidyalayas seek to promote and develop talented, bright and gifted children predominantly from rural areas who may otherwise be denied good educational opportunities. The Vidyalaya provides facilities of international standards at much no cost in comparision to equivalent schools both nationally & internationaly with substantial contrbution to the advancement of knowledge. The Vidyalaya prides in its sophisticated infrastructure which provide the motivating environment to learning atmosphere. Admission is done trough competition test known as JNVST conducted by CBSE and Students are admitted in class VIth. The test consists the objective questions on reasoning, mathematics and language. It is Logically non-verbal and objective in nature and designed so that rural talented students are able to compete without suffering any disadvantage.rnrnIn order to optionally utilize infrastructure facilities, available vacant seats at class IXth level are filled by selection test on the basis of class VIIIth syllabus. Medium of test is Hindi /English as per choice of applicants. Vacant seats of class XIth are filled on the basis of class Xth merit.rnrnAs per scheme maximum of 80 students are admitted in class VIth every year.
