SC ALLOWS PRIVATE MEDICAL COLLEGES TO HOLD AND OWN ADMISSION TESTS

The private medical colleges will now be able to conduct their own admission tests for the post graduate programmes for the academic year 2013-2014. The news came on thurday when supreme court announced its approval for holding the so called admission test however they are not allowed to declare the results.
The matter of the individual tests for the colleges arose when the medical colleges from all over india chalenged the national test conducted by the medical council which is known as national eligibility and admission test(NEET).
23 cases was tranferred by the Apex court from various high courts all over the india regarding the matter of conducting their own admission test by many private medical colleges,including tamilnadu and andhra pradesh.
consequently on thursday the order was given by the bench of the justice Altamas kabir, j.chelameswar and S.S Nijjar of conducting the individual admission tests.
seats will be allotted by a specific strategy of medical council of India based on its rules and regulations
the seats will be allotted on the national and statewise list of the meritorius students prepared by the Apex medical council.Besides this 50 percent of the seats of the post graduate courses for the academic year 2013-2014 will be allotted on the basis of the candidates selected by state governent.
The listing of the matter has been directed to 15 january 2013.so nw be ready to follow a new strategy for admission in post graduate courses for the session 2013-2014.
