Pune University introduces MTech in Aviation

The University of Pune introduces a new course for MTech in Aviation which should be focussing on training pilots, in collaboration with top German Civil Aviation. Vice Chancellor, Wasudeo N Gade, said that the first six months of the course would be in the UoP's department technology while the remaing would be in the on site training in Germany , following which the student will get the UoP degree as well. Gade, Vice Chancellor of the University said that all the syllabus, pattern , and all the curriculum have been decided by the statutory body of the University. And as soon as the MoU is signed by the University the course would start from the impending year.
According to the director of the UoP , V B Gaikwad , the new course would be more of credit based system. To clear this credit based system he said that the credit which would be accumulated for the 18 months for the on site of Germany, the money would be transfered to the UoP for the issue of the degree award as well. Gade , Vice Chancellor of the University said that the University has laid the project worth Rs. 10 crore for the better connectivity of the campus with the students.
Meanwhile, Gade who completed a year in office on May 15 th said that the University will continue to focuss on promoting research activities , both on college and affiliated colleges and they will push the ambitious automation programme for the examination department.
He also said that the University has successfully carried out the pilot of introducing a bar code system for education , management and post graduate engineering faculty. The University has declared online delivery of the question paper for engineering and now all the papers of engineering would be checked and signed online avoiding any mistake .
