Eligibility

PGDM (BE)/PGDM-DS: The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of the candidates belonging to SC/ST/DA categories), awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions estd by an act of the Parliament or declared to be deemed as an University u/s 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Govt of India

Students appearing for the final year degree examination, at the time of application, can also apply

Preference will be given to women, non-creamy OBC and candidates from family business background

Preference will also be given to candidates who have entrepreneurial or intrapreneurial experience

The admission process consists of entrance examination, entrepreneurship aptitude test and personal interview

 EDI accepts CAT/MAT/XAT scores in lieu of entrance examination

Students, opting for PGDM-BE through CAT/MAT/XAT have to apply to EDI also by acquiring application form which can be downloaded from www.ediindia.org. www.ediindia.ac.in or can be filled online

Applicants who want to apply online can make payments online

The duly filled downloaded form should be sent to EDI along with a demand draft of Rs 1000/- drawn in favour of Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, payable at Ahmedabad or by transferring Rs 1000/- to the EDI PG admission account no 00061000237748 with HDFC bank

The information booklet and application form are available on cash payment of 100/- at admission office, EDI, Ahmedabad and regional offices

Students will be short listed for the personal interview on the basis of their CAT/MAT/XAT scores. However, such candidates have to appear for EDI’s Entrepreneurial Aptitude Test (EAT)

Besides CAT/MAT/XAT, the Institute reserves the right to select candidates on the basis of its own written test, EDI entrance exam (EEE), and personal interview

PGDM-Executive: Entrepreneurs, Family Business Successors and professionals who want compact yet comprehensive managerial skills

Motivated mid-career executives with records of achieving results and ready to take the next step in their careers as entrepreneurs or corporate entrepreneurs

Business professionals from backgrounds such as; marketing, operations, law, human resources, IT and consultancy who are ready to expand their skill set

Eligibility: 3 years bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 5 years relevant business/ managerial/supervisory experience

It is mandatory to produce documentary evidence of work experience

The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of the candidates belonging to SC/ST/(DA) categories), awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of the Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University u/s 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Govt of India

EDI entrance test: The EDI entrance examination (EEE) has the following components

The paper has sectional time limits and there is no negative marking

Most questions are of multiple choice types

Written test: The written test focuses on evaluating aspirants on a paper that is divided into five sections needs to be completed in 120 minutes

English: This section covers testing of elementary knowledge of English like filling in the blanks with appropriate option, antonyms, synonyms, idioms, spotting mistakes in sentences, etc

Filling in the blanks to form coherent paragraphs will be based on fairly simple vocabulary

Arithmetic: This section has questions which are fairly simple targeting BODMAS rule, averages, percentages, profit and loss, partnerships, time and work, time and distance, proportions and ratios, simple and compound interests, approximations etc

Logic and Reasoning: This section has questions on analytical reasoning, odd one out, strong and weak arguments

General Awareness (only for PGDM-BE): This section consists of questions on general knowledge, recent happenings, inventions and inventors, business abbreviations, etc

Questions on political science and history are also asked

Social Awareness (only for PGDM-DS): This section consists of questions on social issues, events, personalities and analytical understating of happenings around the world. The objective is to acquaint the students on contemporary social/developmental issues

Entrepreneurial orientation: There are two sets of tests under this category designed to analyze behavioural predispositions like drive, initiative, general entrepreneurial tendencies, leadership, personality traits, etc

The tests measure entrepreneurial potential and commitment
