2 . India has 2,967 tigers as per Tiger census made public by Prime Minister Narender Modi .
- Madhya Pradesh has the highest number of Tiger population 526 , Karnataka with 524 and Uttarakhand with 442 tiger follows the listChhattisgarh and Mizoram saw decline in Tiger population , rest of State saw positive rise in tiger population .
