1. Microsoft Cognitive Services
· Microsoft Cognitive Services is a collection of Application Programming Interfaces (API) which allows any system to speak, understand, hear and interpret human needs.
· Microsoft has developed an “intelligent kiosk” which is a windows 10 universal application displaying workflows and experiences.
· Microsoft’s social Artificial Intelligence (AI) chatbot ‘Ruuh’ which is specifically for India was also demonstrated. It has approx. 1.5 million users and had exchanged above 100 million messages with her uses till now.
· In the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Challenge Cup vault event, Indian gymnast Deepa Karmakar won gold medal.
· In the World Challenge Cup, she has won her first medal.
· The World challenge event was held in Mersin, Turkey.
3. Currency Derivatives
· Currency derivatives are contracts to exchange one currency to another at a specified date in the future at a price fixed on the purchase date.
· These derivatives are considered to be one of the best options to manage risk against foreign currency exchange rate fluctuations.
· In India, there is derivative segments in the two big stock exchanges i.e. BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange) and NSE (National Stock Exchange).
· Mainly the currency contracts are cash-settled in rupees but from this year SEBI has allowed cross currency contracts such as euro-dollar, pound-dollar and dollar-yen.
4. First Muni bond of NSE
· Indore Municipal Corporation has listed its municipal bonds on the debt platform of National Stock Exchange (NSE).
· It is the first ‘muni bond’ to be listed on the exchange.
· Bhopal, Gwalior and Jabalpur will also get their muni bonds after successful experience by Indore.
