CSJMU Permits Use of Calculators in Statistical Analysis examination for B.Com Students

Chatrapati Sahuji Maharaj University, academic council has approved the proposal of to use calculators by B.com students. The proposal was made by retired IAS officer Mr Yashpal who requested the university to allow the use of calculator through a letter, told by CSJMU registrar Syed Waqar Husain. However the use of calculators will be allowed only during the examination of Statistical Analysis paper.
This decision will come into effect from the academic session 2012-13. The B.com students will be able to use Simple Calculators in their final examination scheduled to start from march's second week.
It has been adviced to students for using SIMPLE CALCULATORS only with limited functions like addition, multiplication, substraction, division and percentage. Use of scientific calculators or calculators on mobile phones will not be entertained. The decision is only for Statistical Analysis examination only and not for any other examination, including accountancy.
