11 KVs to make it up anew in Orissa

Addressing a press conference, Assistant Commissioner E. Prabhakar informed altogether 12 new Kendriya Vidyalaya had been sanctioned to Bhubaneswar region. While Orissa would have 11 of those new schools, Jharkhand will get one, he said.

Locations for the new schools in the State include Kutra, Sundargarh, Number 2 KV Cuttack and CISF Mundali Cuttack district, Bhanjanagar, Digapahandi and Aska in Ganjam district, Murgabadi, Mayurbhanj district and district headquarter towns of Subarnapur, Deogarh, Jajpur and Nuapada district.

The only one KV will be set up at Sahibganj in Sahibganj district of Jharkhand. Mr. Prabhakar said quality education through KVs would now be reaching even to nook and corners of the all focused areas of Orissa and Jharkhand. Mr. Prabhakar said three Vidyalayas would run from Class I to V and a separate paper notification would be made by the regional office and individual schools in this regard. The assistant commissioner further said the State government was quite cooperative and instrumental in bringing these many Kendriya Vidyalayas in the State.
