Rajasthan Pre-Entrance Test (RPET 2012) test is conducted by Rajasthan Technical University which was established in 2005. This Pre-Entrance Test is basically conducted for the students who are aspiring to take admission to courses like engineering, pharmacy and architecture. All colleges and institutions in Rajasthan accept this test ranking for admission to various courses like engineering, architecture.
Reservations of the seats are done in accordance with the directives of the Government of Rajasthan. Reservation accorded is 16% for SC, 12% for ST, 21% for OBC, 3% for Physically Handicapped, 25% for Women and 3% for dependents of Defence Killed / Ex-Servicemen and 5% for the Kashmiri Migrant candidates. A certain percentage of seats are reserved under the domicile criteria for the candidates belonging to the state of Rajasthan.
Acaademic Qualification :
The minimum academic qualification for admission to B.Tech./B.E. program in Rajasthan is a pass with atleast 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST of Rajasthan state) in the subjects combination as given below taken together, in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) of Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or any other examination recognized equivalent thereto by Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan.
Age Limit :
Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1987 are eligible. However, in the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. SC, ST and PH candidates who were born on or after October 01, 1981 are eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education marksheet / certificate only will be taken as authentic.
RPET-2011 shall consist of single examination of
Time Duration : 3 hours
Subject-wise questions 40 objective type questions in each of the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Total no. of questions : 120 carrying one mark each.
No negative marking
Questions in Test Booklet will be both in Hindi as well as in English.
