karnataka Management Aptitude Test acronym as KMAT is the management aptitude test for admission to MBA and MCA programs in Karnatakas private colleges. The entrance exam in conducted in different cities in Karnataka. The exam is conducted by the Karnataka private postgraduate colleges association, KPPGCA. Notification for the same is released in the month of April. PGDBM and MCA courses  in over 169 self financing, University and AICTE approved colleges of Karnataka including some of the best like Acharya Institute of Management Science, Alliance Business Academy, Bangalore Institute of Management Studies, Garden City College of Science & Management Studies, M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology, PES Institute of Technology & Management, R V Institute of Management, SDM College of Business Management to name a few.
Karnataka private postgraduate colleges association has been conducting the Karnataka Management Aptitude Test since its establishment in 2003. The association was formed with an aim of providing support and facilitating professional education in Karnataka. It has been instrumental in streamlining the admission to professional programs like MBA and MCA to colleges and institutions affiliated to different universities in Karnataka.

Aspiring candidates should have a bachelor’s degree from any discipline i.e. science, humanities, commerce, computers etc. from any recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all subjects.
 

 

 

KMAT Exam Paper Pattern
KMAT Exam is an objective type multiple choice question based paper. The KMAT Exam has two patterns based on the paper chosen
Pattern for MBA paper only
There are 3 sections in MBA paper contain 120 questions:
Language Comprehension: 40 Questions
Mathematical Skills: 40 Questions
Basic Aptitude: 40 questions
Pattern for MBA and MCA Combined Paper
There are 4 sections in MBA & MCA Combined paper contains 160 questions:
Language Skills: 40 questions
Mathematical Skills : 40 Questions
Basic Aptitude: 40 Questions
Logical Reasoning: 40 Questions
The duration of the exam is of 3 hrs.
The application fee for MBA or MCA is Rs. 500 and to apply for both, it is Rs. 600. Payable by a DD in Karnataka.
