Description

Admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, Other centrally funded Technical Institutions, Institutions funded by several participating State Governments, and several other Institutions shall involve the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main). The JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs

 

JEE Main 2015 Entrance Exam will be new engineering entrance exam which will be conducted in place of AIEEE and will be organized by CBSE for admission in NITs, IIITs and Other Centrally Funded Institutions. If any State also wants to do admissions on its basis in the State colleges, separate merit lists will be made available to them

a)Offline Examination(Pen and Paper based exam):

Paper-1(B.E./B.TECH)- 4th April 2015(Saturday, 9:30 - 12:30 Hours duration 3 hours)

Paper-2(B.arch./B.Planning)- 4th April 2015(Saturday, 2:00 - 5:00 duration 3 hours)

b)Online Examination(Computer based Exam) for Paper-1(B.E/B.TECH) only

Paper-1(B.E/B.TECH.)- During 10th April 2015 (Friday) and 11th April 2015(Saturday timings:Shift 1, 9:30-12:00 hours(IST); 2nd Shift(*)1400-1700 hours(IST), duration 3 hours (if required).

Eligibility Criteria for JEE (Main) Exam 2015

 

The minimum academic qualification for appearing in JEE (MAIN) 2015 is that the candidate must have passed in final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent referred to as the qualifying examination (see below).

 

Those appearing in 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent examination in 2015 may also appear in JEE(MAIN) 2015 provisionally. However, admission criteria in the concerned institution/university will be followed as prescribed by concerned university/institution and as per the guidelines & criteria prescribed by AICTE. List of Qualifying Examinations for JEE Main 2015

  1. The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi
  2.  Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University.
  3. Final Examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.
  4. Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system.
  5. H.S.C. Vocational Examination.
  6. A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects.
  7. 3 or 4-year diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education.

Mode of JEE Main 2015:

 

The Paper 1 which will be organized for B. E. / B. tech. aspirants will be conducted in two modes – Offline mode which will be pen and paper based test and JEE Main 2015 Paper 2 which will be for the B. Arch aspirants and will be conducted in Online Mode which will be a computer based test.
