Combined Management Aptitude Test known as Himachal CMAT is Conducted By Department of Technical Education, Government of Himachal Pradesh, designated the Institute of Management Studies at Himachal Pradesh University in Shimla. HPCMAT Exam is organized for admission into Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs offered at various institutes/colleges and universities in the state of Himachal Pradesh.
75% of the seats are reserved for candidates who have done their graduation from Himachal Pradesh University, H.P. Krishi Vishwavidayalaya Palampur or Dr.Y.S.Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry. Rests 25% are open seats for whom anyone can apply.
HP University conducts a written test to shortlist the candidates for the admission process. The shortlisted candidates are then called for a personal interview and a general discussion. Candidates can get admission in Institute of Management Studies, HP University; Dr. YS Parmar University, and other Private Institutions affiliated to HP University.
A candidate should have a 3 years bachelor degree or equivalent from a recognized institute with atleast 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA. Candidates in their final year of graduation can also apply. Also a candidate should not be more than 26 years of age as on 1st july, 2011.

The candidates clearing the above test are called for gd, followed by PI.
