The exam ECET FDH is for category Engineering and is conducted at Engineering level
ECET FDH is for Diploma (Polytechnic) and B.Sc. Mathematics graduates to join in various branches of Engineering B.Tech through lateral entry route.
Students can opt Civil, Electrical, Mechanical (including Automobile, Packaging Technology, Printing Technology & Foot Ware Technology), Computer Engineering (including Special Diploma) , Electronics and Communication, Instrumentation, Bio Technology, Pharmacy courses.
General Eligibility : Candidates who obtained 50% (45% for reserved categories) of marks at the qualifying examination for both i) Diploma Holders and ii) B.Sc Pass outs (passed 10+2 with Mathematics as a subject) are eligible. However, candidates shall fulfill the eligibility criteria laid down in relevant G.O.’s at the time of ECET admission

Engineering Common Entrance Test for Diploma Holders is conducted every year in the state usually in the month of April. This is an objective type written examination. The candidates need to pick the correct answer from the four or five choices given for each questions. There will not be any negative marking for the wrong answers. The syllabus of the examination is based on 12th level academics. Based on the merit marks obtained by the students in this examination, they are given admission to the desired B.E/ B.Tech courses in any of the AICTE approved colleges in the state.
