Delhi University Medical/Dental Entrance Test (DUMET) is an entrance exam for admission to the bachelor medical and dental courses MBBS and BDS in University of Delhi. DUMET is conducted by University of Delhi Faculty of Medical Sciences.
MBBS is available in three colleges in University of Delhi which are Lady Harding Medical College, Maulana Azad Medical College and University College of Medical Sciences and Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital and BDS is available in Maulana Azad Medical College.
General Eligibility : A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology with atleast 50% aggregate marks in PCB. Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2011 can also apply.
SC/ST Eligibility : A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology with atleast 40% for SC/ST aggregate marks in PCB . Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2011 can also apply.
DUMET exam has the following structure but we urge candidates to get ensure from the DUMET prospectus or from official website before starting the preparation.
The DUMET is a single stage entrance test for admission into medical colleges under university of delhi.
The test contains of two papers containing multiple choice objective type of questions :
paper 1 : Physics and Chemistry - 2 -1/2 hours - 600 marks
paper 2 : Botany and Zoology - 2-1/2 hours - 600 marks
