Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) is one of the reputed Institutes of Cochin that provides the various professional degree courses to the aspiring candidates. Institute is approved by Government of India for providing education to the aspiring candidates. Courses offered by the Institute is approved by AICTE on completion of which helps us to get excellent placement facilities provided by the Institute. Institute was established under section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 for providing various under graduate and post graduate courses to the candidates.

Educational Qualification: Pass in Plus Two Examination of the State of Kerala with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects or any other examination accepted as equivalent thereto securing a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.

Notes:** Pass in Plus Two examination of the State of Kerala with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects or any other examination accepted as equivalent thereto securing a minimum of 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry
put together, with at least 55% in Mathematics separately.
 

Test Pattern for CUSAT CAT 2012

The Test comprises two papers:
a.) Mathematics (Test Code 101)
b.) Physics and Chemistry (Test Code 101)

Each of these papers consists of 125 objective type questions.
Physics and Chemistry (plus two level) paper maintains a ratio of 3:2.
All candidates applying for any of the following first degree programmes in Engineering & Technology have to necessarily take both the papers of the Test Code 101.

Marks and Scoring

The CAT score will be calculated as per the formula, S = 3R - 1W, where S is the CAT score, R is the number of right answers and W is the number of wrong answers.
Negative marks will be given for each wrong answer. In case of a tie, the existing Universtiy norms will be followed.
