Description

Common Entrance Test for Pondicherry Private Medical Colleges (CETPPMC) is an entrance examination for admission to MBBS course in Private Medical Colleges in Pondicherry. The governing body of the examination is the Pondicherry Linguistic & Religious Minority Medical & Dental Colleges Welfare Association.

There are three medical colleges in Pondicherry in which admission is through CETPPMC. These colleges are Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences, Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College & Hospital and Sri Venkateshwaraa Medical College Hospital & Research Centre. A large number of students appear for  CETPPMC every year for admission to MBBS course in these colleges and the competition is quite tough.

General Eligibility : A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English and atleast 50% aggregate marks in PCB. Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2011 can also apply.

Also a candidate should have attained the age of 17 years before 31st December, 2011.

SC/ST Eligibility : A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English and atleast 40% aggregate marks in PCB. Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2011 can also apply.
Also a candidate should have attained the age of 17 years before 31st December, 2011.

  1. The Students will have to take an objective type test in the subjects of physics, chemistry, botany and zoology.
  2. Admission/No.of seats available are subject to MCI/Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Approval of the concerned colleges.
  3. The Candidate should send copy of the mark list of the qualifying examination within 10 days after the declaration of results by the concerned authority to claim admission in the Management seats on the basis of the rank list.
