CENTAC JET Exam is conducted by the Centralized Admission Committee (CENTAC), Government of Puducherry. It is popularly known as the Centralized Admission Committee Joint Entrance Test. Centralized Admission Committee Joint Entrance Test is organized for admission into the first year of BTech, BDS, BVSc & AH, BPharm, BSc (Nursing), BPT and BSc (MLT) degree courses offered at the various government sponsored colleges.
BTech The candidate must pass their Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent examination from a recognized board/university, with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate
Examination Pattern
CENTAC JET exam comprises of objective type multiple choices, and questions are based in the following grounds - Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology (Zoology & Botany). Candidates appear in a different combination of subjects according to their preferred field.
Reservation of seats under various categories is as follows: 16% for SC candidates, 33% (20%+13%) for OBC (Other Backward Class) + MBC (Most Backward Class), 4% for Children / Grand Children of Freedom Fighter, 3% for Physically Handicapped, 1/3+% for Wards of Ex-Servicemen and 1% for sportsman/woman.
