CEED 2013

Description

 

CEED (Common Entrance Examination for Design) is an all India examination conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT, Bombay), on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Department of Education Government of India.

It is the qualifying examination for admission to Post Graduate programmes (M.Des.) at the Industrial Design Centre (IIT Bombay ) , Instrument Design and Development Centre (IIT Delhi), Centre for Product Design and Manufacturing (IISc Bangalore) and Design Program (IIT Kanpur).

CEED examination tests the candidates for visual perception ability, drawing skills, design aptitude and communication skills.

How to apply:
1.The Application form and Prospectus can be downloaded from official website of Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.
2.The application fee for Male applicants (non refundable) is Rs. 1500/- (Rs.750/- for SC/ST/PD Applicants).
3.Like Gate Exam There is no application fee for Female applicants.

Candidates must either have completed or be expecting to complete any of the following,
by July 2013:

Candidates need to be completed theri Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Architecture / Design / Interior Design, or equivalent with 4 yrears time duration after compliting class XII.

OR

Seeking Candidates must have Professional Diploma of NID / Professional Diploma of CEPT (5 year program) or equivalent after compliting class XII.

OR

B.F.A. (4 year professional programme, after 10+2).

OR

Should have G.D. Art (5 year programme, after 10th) followed by one year professional experience.

OR

Should have Master's degree in Arts / Science / Computer Applications.

The examination will be conducted in two Parts, A and B. All candidates must answer both Parts.

1.  Part A contains only multiple choice type questions.

2.  Part B contains design and hand drawing type questions. 

3.  Part-A is a screening test, which will be conducted by an online computerized program.

4.After compliting Part-A,  Part-B will be evaluated for candidates who will be short-listed in the screening test.

Part B score only will be used for merit list and qualified list for CEED 2013.
