As a fresher one can earn a salary of 20,000-50,000 per month.With increasing experience,knowledge and expertise in this field on can draw a package of about 60,000-80,000 per month or above.
The pay scale in the private or corporate institutes are much higher compared to the goverment hospitals,schools,mental assylems etc.
After the succesful completion of the course there are various sectors where rehabilitation therapists or counselers can find job opportunities. They can find jobs in:
government or private hospitals, private clinics and health care centers, psychiatric institute, rehabilitation centers,residential care facilities,adult daycare program,community mental health centers.
For admission into bachelor’s degree tudent must pass Higher Secondary(10+2) with science subjects. The selection is usually made on the basis of entrance examinations conducted by state level or all india basis.
The duration for bachelor’s degree course is 3-4 years.
For admission into master’s degree a student is required to pass bachelor’s degree in relevant field from a recognized institute.
The duration for master’s degree course is 2 years.
