The starting salary of fresher is Rs. 5000-8000 per month in government hospitals.
X-ray technicians can get a salary of about Rs 10000 pm.With growing experience and expertise in the field one can draw a much higher package.The salary in the praivate hospitals and nursing homes are much more compared to the goverment organisations.
After the succesful completion of the courses Radiation therapists are placed by many nursing homes, hospitals, diagnostic centers and super specialty hospitals. They are employed in the X-ray and ultrasound departments of medical institutions and clinics.
Someone can be self employeed also who can start own pathology clinic or diagonstic center.
The eligibility criteria for admissions in a bachelor's programme is that the candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent with minimum 50% marks in mathematics, physics and chemistry.
One can also pursue a diploma or a certificate course after completing class X.
For post graduate courses one has to complete the bachelor courses from any recognised university in relevant field.
