Trust was founded by the esteemed industrialist and philanthropist late Sri. V. L. Balakrishna Naidu in the year 1980. The V.L.B. Trust has carved for itself a name in the field of higher learning in the city of Coimbatore and has been in spectacular and enviable service for nearly two decades. Sri Krishna Arts and Science College was established by the Trust in 1997 and it is an ISO certified co-educational institution catering to the need of the day. Location The District of Coimbatore has seen remarkable progress not only in the field of Engineering and Textile Industries, but also in the field of Higher Education. The College is situated in a sylvan surrounding and is easily accessible from any part of the city. The College is situated in Sugunapuram, Kuniamuthur adjoining National Highway No. 47 in a serene and calm atmosphere surrounded by hillocks conducive for peaceful learning and is very well connected to the city by frequent bus services. The sprawling campus unfolds 15 acres and every care is taken to enhance academic adventure. The situation of the College, far from the madding crowd of the city and the well-defined classrooms, offers the best environment for imparting knowledge. Chairperson Smt. S. Malarvizhi, Chairperson & Managing Trustee, plays a key role in establishing a hall mark for SKASC. Being an eminent educationalist by herself, she leads the college towards academic excellence. She is well aware of all the boundaries of the academic field, as she started her career as a teacher. Trustees Sr. C.R. Swaminathan, Chief Executive Officer, PSG Institutions, has more than three decades of experience in educational administration. He has to his credit an MBA Degree and he plays an active role in various industrial and social organizations. He has held coveted positions as President in SIEMA, as chairman in CII, Coimbatore and was a Member of State Planning Commission. At present, he is the Chairman of CII Southern Region and President of RAAC. He is a Member of our College Committee and contributes his wise counsel to the development of the college ADVISOR Dr. S. Subramanyan, the former Vice- Chancellor, Bharathiar University, has an enormous experience in academics and administration. He has obtained his PG degree in Technology from Manchester, U.K. and Ph.D from University of Madras. Apart from serving in reputed institutions like PSG College of Technology, he has also authored text books on Heat & Mass Transfer Data and CAD/CAM areas. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers also. SECRETARY Dr. K. Palaniappan has long academic experience for more than 4 decades. He had his Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from University of Madras and PG degree in the same field from Annamalai University. He took his Ph.D. Degree in Statistics from Karnataka University, Dharward. He was teaching Statistics and related subjects to Graduates, Postgraduates, MBA and M.Phil programmes. He had published research papers and text books. He was Principal for a period of 5 years. He was a peer team member of NAAC. He was a recognized supervisor to guide Research in Bharathiar University Principal Dr. K .Sundararaman M.Com, M.Phil., Ph.D. has 37 years of teaching experience as the Head of the Department of Commerce and also has 17 years of dynamic administrative experience in managing all the courses under self –financing stream in a reputed autonomous College in Coimbatore. He joined the college as Principal in the year 2005. His area of specialization is Quality Assurance in Higher Education
