College of Engineering, Chengannur is a premier institute of engineering that has carved a niche for itself in the field of technical education in a very short span of time. Since its inception in 1993, under the aegis of IHRD, the college has made its presence felt in the technical horizon of the state.  It has been approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and recognized by the Cochin University of Science And Technology (CUSAT).  Being located in Chengannur town, Alleppey district the college has got access to all means of transport, communication and lodging facilities.  It was one among the 5 engineering colleges in Kerala selected by Govt. of India for the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP). The courses offered are designed to cater to the industry’s urgent demand for skilled professionals and with a vision to create engineers having the drive, skill, and confidence to become the pioneers of tomorrow. 

The college offers three under graduate programmes in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering. The first two programs were accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), a statutory body set up by AICTE and enacted by Govt. of India for the purpose of assessment of quality and accreditation of Technical Education programs of India.

Placement

 TRAINING & PLACEMENT CELL

The Training and Placement Cell, (TPC) of the College of Engineering, Chengannur is a body of active students, guided by Staff-in-Charge. Student members are specially selected to carry out the responsible working of the cell. The TPC dedicates itself to help students develop their personalities and establish their careers.

The activities of TPC are :

• Preparing the students to face competitive examinations and interviews through intensive training programs including group discussions, mock interviews, and the basics of behavior and body language. Experienced Professionals from the industry are invited for some of the training programs.

•  Assisting students in career-planning, employment and providing information on higher studies. 
   Inviting companies to the college campus for recruiting students for placement in their organizations. 
  TPC  offer the companies all the facilities for conducting their presentation, tests and interviews.
