Yodh Singh Namdhari Mahila College was founded on 1st August, 1968 by Shri Indra Singh Namdhari, in the memory of his father. It is the only women's college in Palamau district. Initially, it was a private institution, later in 1980 it became a constituent unit of Ranchi University. In 2009, the college became a part of Nilamber Pitamber University. The college offers bachelors courses in Arts and Science. In addition to this, college also provides many facilities to its students like a well stocked library, laboratories eqquiped with modern instruments, NCC/NSS, scholarships and many more.

Placement

It has good placement record as most of the students of this college got placed in good or reputated organizations according to their skills or eligibility. It provides various opportunities to students so that they can grab what they want.  It has it's placement cell which helps students in their placement related activities by all possible way. The faculty assigned for the students to help in their placement activities are highly qualified and experienced. They conducts various pre-placement activities to train students for their better future placement or to get them aware about the placement process.
