UP Rural Institute of Medical Science and Research Saifai is the medical college that has been setup by Government of Uttar Pradesh and is located in the native place of former Chief Minister and founder president of Samajwadi Party Mulayam Singh Yadav. The college was setup in the year 2005 and is affiliated to the Chhatrapati Shahu ji Maharaj Medical University, Lucknow. The College is also approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI). The college was setup with aim to provide the medical education to the areas where the need of the medical services is in great need. This medical college is also known as the centre of Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Sciences and all the teachings aids are being provided to the students for their increased efficiency and to make them a responsible doctor in the coming future.

The campus of the UPRIMS&R is located in the Safai of Etawah District of the Uttar Pradesh. The campus is well constructed and is embedded with several modern day and world class facilities available for the students and the patients of the medical college.
