Toc H is an international organization with its head-quarters in the U. K. Beginning from the humble but humane Endeavour of a few philanthrops to rehabilitate the mortally wounded young soldiers in the Belgian war- front during the First World War, Toc H emerged as a service organization in 1915. 

Today, Toc H stretches its helping hand to the physically challenged, fatally sick and socially under-privileged segments of humanity across cultures and continents all over the world. 

The Cochin branch of Toc H was started in the early seventies. In the beginning, it focused on rehabilitating Leprosy and TB patients. Later, it was engaged in rehabilitating the beggars in the city of Cochin in collaboration with Corporation of Cochin. Education is a basic requirement for all kinds of development in a society.

Realizing the need for quality education in Kochi, Toc H started the Toc H Public School. TIST is a silver jubilee project of the Toc H Public School Society and is the synonym for excellence in education. Crowned with a reputation that has been painstakingly achieved over 25 years of successful existence, TIST is an inevitable extension of the gorgeous Toc H ethos, that keeps abreast of the emerging technologies and imparts technical education with a global perspective.

Placement

TIST PLACEMENT CELL

TIST PLACEMENT CELL (TPC) is solely responsible for spear heading placement skills, soft skills and technical training in TIST so that students are able to meet the industrial requirements and expectations. We have MoUs with Infosys, HCL, Hewlett Packard (HP), IBM, L&T etc. Placement Cell helps in organizing Placement Training Programmes in coordination with various agencies like T.I.M.E., IMS, Career Focus etc. for students.

TPC has been providing necessary information to students on Internship/Project opportunities with core companies. Also in coordination with Infosys we are running successfully Campus Connect Soft Skills (SS) and Foundation Programmes (FP)/Technical Training programmes for Toc H students enabling them to meet the needs of the industry. In coordination with IBM we had conducted DB2 Certification Training for 70 students for free. T.I.M.E. is associated with us on giving training on Aptitude Test Training, Group Discussions and Interviews. Also time and again Placement Cell has been sending across faculties for soft skills and technical training with Infosys, Wipro etc.

Eminent Personalities/Industrialist from Industries have been invited to interact with our students in the final years of engineering and management to have better outlook into the expectations and abilities requirements of corporate sector. Our students have been placed with prominent companies like Infosys, Wipro, HCL, TCS, Hewlett Packard, Faith Infotech.

TPC is also involved in interaction with Alumni to improve the placements of the college and pass necessary information to our students.

Recruitments in 2011 Batch

We have recruiters from all over the country. TIST remains a preferred choice for Placements by companies. We have placement across various companies and professions. Currently 257 TISTians placed is a testimony the worth of our college students in performance and exposure to Global Dominance. Our Alumni are placed all over the world are an inspiration to us with constant input, suggestion and guidance for better placements every year.   We set a record with Infosys visiting our campus and starting it’s Kerala Leg of recruitment and 2^nd college in India to have in recruitment period on 22^nd November 2010. 50 Students were placed in the campus for Infosys Technologies, Bangalore. We had the Infosys HR Team with the Country HR Head Mr. Varadharaj Venkatraman visiting and addressing our students during the Placement Drive. It was a record in making and inked to the TISTian history. Patni Computers placed 16 students.  USTGlobal in Infopark, Cochin choose 19 students in January 2011. HCL Infosystems, Noida recruited 10 students. IBS Trivandrum selected 3 students. Mphasis Bangalore recruited 10 students. SunTec Business Solutions, Technopark Trivandrum on 3 students were placed. Tata Elxsi chose 3 students at an off campus event. One student has been selected with Microsoft and Intel each. 5 students have been placed with Sutherland, Kochi. 5 Students of Civil were absorbed with Cherian Varkey Constructions, Cochin. 30 students chose Merchant Navy as their career option with Bharath Marines.  13 Mechanical students were placed with Omnex, Chennai. Spectrum chose 5 students for their Kochi operations. 5 students were best performers with Reliance Communications, Mumbai.
