SVIST was established during the academic year 2006-2007, at Angallu (Madanapalli), Chittor District inline with the aims and aspirations of VISWAM EDUCATIONAL SOCIETYSVIST is approved by AICTE New Delhi, Affiliated to JNTUniversity, Anantapur. The Society is run by the Governing Council with " Shri.M.PRABHAKAR REDDY garu" as Chairman and Correspondent,who is the architect of the noble idea of making education accessible even to the low income groups of society . SVIST is spread across 14 acres of land,with pleasant& greenery rose gardens with excellent Infrastructure including Academic blocks, Administrative block, Library, Seminar hall, Hostels accommodating for girls within the campus.SVIST equipped with Indoor games, and playground and 1000 seating capacity function oriented ground with large stage. SVIST is running with the Inspiration of Principles by the great Engineer and Nation Builder Sir MokshaGundam Vishveshwaraiah.

Placement

The Department of HRD(Human Resource development) is being established to play a vital role for the training and placement of the students in the institute. A full fledged team has been established with the support of student co-ordinators. A large number of prospective employers are being contacted and efforts are being made to invite those firms to visit our campus to conduct campus recruitments. The Department of HRD is to look for 100% employment. The Department operates year round to facilitate contacts between companies and Engineering graduates. SVIST lays lot of importance on soft skills in students. It also trains students in aptitude and logical reasoning in association with the institute of Electronic Governance (JKC) campus placements. A mentor for this purpose appointed, trained the students to improve their employability. The companies that regularly visit SVIST for placements are " CMS infosystems Pvt-Ltd, CGI, SAMTE SOLUTIONS, AVOWS TECHNOLOGY, VST Manpower consultants, Mahindra Satyam (JKC) and so on. The Department of Placements is provided with a well-equipped conference room, Interview rooms, Control room for the Visiting company and Hall for conducting tests and presentations.
