National Institute of Technology Uttarakhand is one of the 30 NITs running in India and is managed by the MHRD of the Indian Government in the year 2009. NIT Uttarakhand is among the 10 newly opened NITs in India which were opened under the 11th Five Year Plan of the Government of India. This institute aimed at the expansion of the boundaries of the technical education to every corner of the country and for that these new NITs are the steps that government has taken. The first batch of NIT Uttarakhand was started in the year 2010 in a temporary campus. NIT Uttarakhand has thus got the title of being the Institute of National Importance.

Campus-

The Academic session of the NIT Uttarakhand is presently being conducted at a temporary campus which is located in Government Polytechnic of Srinagar, Garhwal in Pauri Garhwal district which is actively connected by road and air. There are adequate transport facilities available to reach to the campus.

Placement

At present, the placement report of NIT Uttarakhand is not available as their first batches will pass out in the year 2014.
