National Institute of Technology Hamirpur also known as NIT Hamirpur is one of the 30 NITs running in India under the MHRD of Indian Government. It was established in the year 1986 as one of the Regional Engineering College as a joint venture of Indian Government and the State Government of Himachal Pradesh. The aim of the school is completely clear as what it says in the logo of the Institution. The institute is aimed at enrichment of the students in the field of engineering and technology and other related fields. NIT Hamirpur provides courses for undergraduates, postgraduates and doctoral programs in Engineering, Technology, Management and Humanities.
Campus-
The campus of NIT Hamirpur is at Anu of the Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh which is at an altitude of 900 meters from sea level. The entire campus of NIT Hamirpur is spread in an area of 320 acres of land. The Instiute is fully a residential institute that have 8 boy’s hostel and 1 girl’s hostel with residence for faculties and staff members. The facility at NIT Hamirpur includes Computer Centre, Central library and Sports. The campus of the institute is equally connected by road and air.
