NMAM Institute of Technology was established in 1986. The college is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum and is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. It is accredited by the National Board for Accreditation and is certified to the ISO 9001-2000 standards for quality education by KEMA, Netherlands. The institution has been granted Academic Autonomy under the Visvesvaraya Technological University from 2007-08.

The Institute offers graduate programs in 7 branches of Engineering – Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Information Science & Engineering, Bio-Technology and Mechanical Engineering. The college also offers postgraduate programs like, Master of Technology, Master of Computer Applications and Master of Business Administration. Besides these, students can also pursue their doctoral programs at the Institute.

Placement

Campus recruitments at NMAMIT first began in 1994 with Kirloskar Snydergeneral being the first company to visit our campus and recruiting two of our students. In 2000-01, over 150 students were selected in campus interviews. 115 were chosen by 33 companies in 2003-04. The year 2004-05 saw more than 248 students being selected with 100% placement for civil engineering students. In 2005-06, 294 students were selected by 50 companies; 331 students were chosen by 42 companies in 2006-07 and in 2007-08, 387 students were selected by 44 companies. In 2008-09, 27 companies recruited 246 on campus; in 2009-10, 37 companies recruited 314 on campus. In 2010-11, 591 students were selected by 63 companies.
