Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College Indore is also called as M.G.M. Medical College Indore or MGMMC, Indore. MGM Medical College is Government managed college and is one of the old medical colleges running in India and have many years of past history. The college was initially setup in the year 1878 as a Medical School which was named as King Edward Medical School and was the first in the Central India to have an Allopathic Dispensary. But after India got Independence, the school in 1948 was turned to a Medical College in which around 50 Students were admitted as the first batch of Medical Education. From then, the total intake of the college went on increasing. At present, the intake is 140 for undergraduates and 117 for Post-graduates. Apart from the Medical College for MBBS and other medical courses, the college also have a college of Dentistry, College of Nursing and a School of Nursing. The hospital in the campus of the MGMMC Indore has a capacity of 930 beds and is a fully equipped seven storied building with the excellence in serving their patients as well as acknowledging their students and prepare them for the future quest as a Doctor.

MGM Medical College Indore is located on the A.B. Road near CRP Line and Maharaja Yashwantrao Hospital. The college provides several facilities to their students to make their learning efficiency rise up and help them in getting the necessities fulfilled within the campus boundaries. Some basic facilities that are available here are Workshops, Laboratories, Library, and Canteen etc.
