The School is special in many ways being the first and pioneer school under kalka group of institutions,started by kalka educational society, established in 1974. The foundation stone of the modern building was laid on 22nd march 1988 by Honorable Chief Minister Smt. Sheila Dikshit , then the Minister of Parliamentary affairs. The school is situted in the best locality of south delhi,in lush green area, spread over 4 acres of land. It has a magnificant building with spacious and airy class rooms in a quiet atmosphere conductive for healthy interaction and growth.

Placement
The placement cell is dedicated to advising students on career options and providing the latest information on summer training opportunities and employment vacancies. The placement cell, in addition to individual counseling, runs seminars and group sessions covering career choice, interview skills, group discussions skills, preparing resumes and also drafting job applications. A major thrust of the placement services is to constantly liaise with the business and industries to update prospective employers of the skill levels of the students and secure commitments for campus placements.
In addition to providing up to date careers information, employment trends, salary statistics, developing job search techniques, coordinating on campus recruitment, the placement services maintains listing of part time jobs and summer vacations employment opportunities in order to encourage investigation and comparison of the relationship between theoretical concepts and organizational practices.
