Jowai Polytechnique was  established in 2002 by Govt. of Meghalya with the help of World Bank under the Third Technician Education III Project & is affiliated to Meghalaya State Council for Technical Education.

The college offers 3 yrs of diploma in-

1. Arcitectural Assistmanship


2. Automobile Engineering


3. Costume Design and Garment Technology

Eligibilty Criteria includes:

1. The candidate must have passed Secondary School Leaving Certificate(10+)  examination conducted by Meghalaya Board of Secondary.
2. Education or its equivalent conducted by recognized Board/Council securing atleast 45% marks in Mathematics and 45% maks in Science relaxable to 40% for both for a candidate belonging  to SC/ST communities of Meghalaya.
