Course Details:
IIJNM offers a curriculum developed in association with Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, New York. The programs offered in print, television, and multimedia journalism embodies the best practices in media industry and media technology. Today, IIJNM has gained a reputation as among the best in journalism study in all of South Asia in the media community. Students constantly learn under the guidance of Indian and foreign veteran journalists and also, from guest lecturers from the media industry. Further, students get the opportunity to intern at various media organizations for between two weeks and a month. Situated on 5 acres of well-kept grounds, IIJNM is surrounded by rolling hills. The 30,000-sq.ft. facility features large classrooms, auditoriums, a sophisticated media lab, library, and conference rooms. Each student is assigned a private study area with a personal
computer connected to a network running powerful servers, e-mail, and high-speed 24 hour access to the Internet.
Hostel:
The IIJNM program demands intense study for one year, and all students must preferably stay in the college dormitory next to the campus, unless an exemption is granted. A convenient and modern residential facility is provided separately for male and female students. Refreshing environment, adequate supply of clean water, and a secure area free of pollution and noise makes the stay comfortable and enjoyable for the students. Admission procedure for the programs: 1. Completion and submission of application form. Download form here… 2. Successful completion of Online Aptitude Test 3. Personal interview Completed application form must reach IIJNM by no later than June 10, 2016. Late applicants may submit completed form and the supporting documents post this date, which may be considered for admission if vacancies are still available. The application will not be considered unless all answers are typewritten (or printed legibly), signed and dated. Alternately, applicants may fill an online application form available on the home page of www.iijnm.org. Note: Early applicants may submit their applications prior to March 31, 2016. We encourage submitting applications early to assure quick completion of the admission process to the limited number of seats and to avail fee concession.
