Khaja Garib Nawaz (K.G.N.) Educational Society was established in the year 1991 by Haji Shaik Hassan Ahmed with the object of empowering communities through education and providing Social Service..The society has also conducted numerous Medical Camps and Eye Camps to render services to theneedy, free of cost. In the educational field the Society has established many educational institutions in Kanagala such as H.M.K.S. & M.G.S.M. College of Education (M.Ed & B.Ed), Zeenath & Hammubi Teachers Elementary Education (D.Ed) and Shaik Hassan Ahmed Hindi Pandit Training College (H.P.T.), approved by the National Council for Teachers Education (N.C.T.E., Bangalore), and now the College of Engineering, approved by All India Council for Technical Education (A.I.C.T.E.,New Delhi).

The Computer Science lab is equipped with high-end HP systems, duly networked, with dual boot facility having both Windows and Linux. Open Source Software is used and recommended. Apart from having registered software from various companies, H.M.K..S. & M.G.S. is a member of MSDN Academic Alliance (MSDNAA) through which the Microsoft related software, and support can be obtained. All labs are modeled by keeping in mind the convenience of the students and adhering of the rules, regulations and standards set by the A.I.C.T.E. and A.N.U. High quality Equipment is also installed in respective labs & Workshop.
