Fergusson College

 The Fergusson College was founded by the famous Deccan Education Society in the year 1885. The college was named after Sir James Fergusson, then Governor of Bombay who was keenly interested in the development of New English School and the Fergusson College and also was the first patron of of DES. The Fergusson college offers graduate and post graduate courses in Natural Sciences, Computers, Electronics, Information Technology, humanities and social sciences. The college provides many facilities to its students like hostel facility, sports, gym, a well stocked library, canteen, auditorium, NCC, NSS and many more.


Placement

 The college has a separate training and placement cell, which is involved in training and guiding the students for their career prospectives. The companies visited the college yet are WIPRO, SIEMENS, AFTEK, Symphony, AVAYA, Google, Infosys, IBM, TATA Technologies and many more
