The Faculty of Law, Jamia Millia Islamia in New Delhi came to existence in the year 1989 for providing a three year LL.B. program to their students. Over the years, the Faculty of Law at Jamia Millia Islamia has grown towards its aim of imparting quality education in the field of legal studies. The institute has also setup a Legal Services Clinic looking all the legal education in the campus. The campus is looking for the efficient making of the responsible lawyers from the institute so that they can keep the dignity of law and the society upto the highest level and serve the nation with the social values and ethics. Apart from the LL.B. Program, the college also offers others courses like post-graduation and Ph.D. Courses to their students. The institute is aimed at being an excellent institute in the field of Legal Education. The College management look after the requirements of their students and arrange the best available facilities for their students studying under the legal programmes.

The campus of the Faculty of Law, Jamia Millia Islamia is located at the campus of the Jamia Millia Islamia University which is a Public Central University in New Delhi. The University is a famous centre of education in the country with world class facilities and infrastructure at the glance. Different facilities have been made available for the students for their curricular and co-curricular growth apart from the academic classes.

The students of the institute have made records over the placements. Several students of the college have been placed in the Government Judicial Services of various states and also within the private sectors.
