Dayal Singh College was established in the year 1959 which is affiliated to Delhi University. During recent years the college has grown and registered and impressive quantitative and qualitative improvements. The quality of the incoming students and college has improved. The college provides or conducts many co-curricular activities in institution for the over all personality development of students. Currently the college is providing education approximately 3300 students including foreign students in 19 courses (including 2 post graduate courses). It has 19 departments and 20 faculty membesr who are highly qualified and experienced in their specialized feilds and there is about 100 non teaching staff members. The faculty of the college take interest in research programmes apart from teaching. It present time the college has well established infrastructure including modern facilities which are necessary for the students for their comfort and bright future.

Dayal Singh College has good placement record as most of the students of this college got placed in reputated organizations. The placement cell of this college has the aim to improve the placement quality of this college by providing the various opportunities to the students. They conducts various training programmes and workshops for the students. They train students for their future placement.
