Dinhata College (DC), Cooch Behar was established in 1956. The college is providing the value-based education and as well as promoting social, cultural and moral values with a view to uplift the status of personal and professional life. The college is associated with well experienced teachers to enlighten the students. The college is recognized by the UGC under 2(f) & 12(b) and is well equipped with all modern facilities.

The college is affiliated to the North Bengal University, established in 1962 with a goal to disseminate knowledge to fulfill growing socio-economic and technical manpower needs in the six North Bengal districts.  This was the first university in the region and has played a pioneering role since inception in spreading higher education.
